About Us

We believe in seeking constant improvement, to be better than yesterday.

CrossFit Pisgah exists to make a positive difference in people's lives and our community. We use health, wellness, challenge, accountability, coaching, shared adversity, friendship, and fun to accomplish this goal. We strive to be comfortable being uncomfortable and to “do hard things.” We know this makes us more resilient, more powerful, and better able to serve others.

Thank you for being here to learn more about us. We hope you will visit a class, drop by to say hello, join our social media community, or join us in seeking to forge a better world through self-improvement.

“Pisgah is way more than a gym to me. It’s a lifestyle, a community, lifelong friends, a support group, a place I call home.”

Our Team.

  • Jason

Jason is a CrossFit Level 1 trainer and has also completed his USAW Level 1, CrossFit Anatomy, and CrossFit “Spot the Flaw” courses. With 7 years of experience, he’s passionate about helping others reach their fitness goals. Outside of the gym, Jason works as a realtor. His hobbies include golfing, hiking, mountain biking, and looking for new adventures in the outdoors.

  • Meg

Meg has been involved with CrossFit for approximately 13 years. She has her CF L1 cert and is planning on taking her L2 in the future. She’s a distance runner and has completed 4 half marathons so far! Meg is an artist, graphic designer/web designer, and a real estate agent, who also works with the visually impaired and blind community. Mom to her son Nate, Paul is my better half and also a member of our community.

  • Heather

Heather started CrossFit in 2012 and was hooked from day one. With 8 years of coaching experience and numerous certifications, including CrossFit Level 2, she’s built a reputation for helping athletes move better, get stronger, and surprise themselves with what they’re capable of.

Her coaching style blends encouragement, sharp technical focus, and a whole lot of energy. Classes are equal parts hard work and good vibes—you’ll squat, sweat, and probably laugh along the way. Expect a 90s rap/hip hop playlist, some free dance moves between sets, and the occasional witty one-liner to keep things fun when the workout gets spicy.

Outside the gym, Heather loves adventuring with her dog, Apollo, who may or may not believe he’s the true head coach.

  • Jimmy

Jimmy is a long-time CrossFit athlete and joined Pisgah early this year. We’ve been fortunate to add his positivity and energy to our coaching staff. He recently passed his CrossFit Level 1 certificate course and will be working with Sat AM Community WOD and Mon/Fri 5:30 am classes. Welcome, Jimmy!!

  • Domonique

I started CrossFit in 2014, I tried it for the first time with my dad on a Saturday morning and signed up the next day. I gained my CF-L1 certification and have loved encouraging and inspiring other athletes to continue to show up for their future selves. Aside from coaching I work full-time as a Pastry Chef, I use CrossFit to balance out all the sweet treats. I enjoy hiking, bird watching, and exploring new cities.

  • Ben

Ben founded CrossFit Pisgah in 2012. He has earned 5 CrossFit coaching certificates, including the Level 3 Certified CrossFit Coach designation. Ben holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Western Carolina University and is a proud dad of two daughters, Keira and Grace, and husband to Hayette. He’s the Executive Director at Asheville Poverty Initiative, and is always down to be outside or hang with his dogs.
